for Children, Adults and Families

Embrace the Wonders of the Seashore

At Costal Marvels, Troon (UK, Scotland) we are passionate about the mysteries and beauty of our oceans and beaches. We will help you experience coastal nature in a fun and exciting way whether by rock-pooling, beachcombing, marine art, beach school or beach play.

We believe in the power of hands-on learning. Our beach sessions are all about exploring the seashore, discovering hidden treasures, and meeting the fascinating creatures that call it home.

With the beach as our playground, we encourage your imagination to run wild. Each wave and seashell has a story to tell, and we're here to help you uncover them all.

Together, we will create memories that will last a lifetime.

Team

Hello! I’m Ewa,

Coastal Activity Leader managing "Coastal Marvels" in Troon, Ayrshire.  I’m passionate about the ocean, beaches, and nature in coastal environments. I’m an avid traveler, snorkeler, and recreational scuba diver. I’m also an advocate and promoter of outdoor play and learning for children from an early age. I believe that children can learn a lot by exploring and experiencing the natural world around them, as well as by playing and having fun.

As a mother of two wonderful young boys, I understand the importance of letting children learn about the world by exploring and experiencing it on their own. I’m inspired by many nature-based learning methods, such as Montessori, and I like to incorporate some of their elements into daily life and education.

By profession, I graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration, having studied “Management, Economy, and Law” at Fontys University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. I have completed Coastal Activity Leader Training in Scotland (equivalent to beach school training), as well as courses in Tourism Management, Tour Leading, and Children’s Holiday Camp Supervision. I have also taken a Discovering Marine Ecology course, a First Aid Outdoor course in the UK, and Safeguarding training in the UK.

I believe that lifelong learning is essential, and I frequently enrol in new courses to ensure continuous development. I have worked internationally in tourism, translations, finance, and customer management, and I run my own consultancy business in the Netherlands.

Having lived and worked in a few countries in Europe, I speak several languages English, Polish, Dutch. German and basic Portuguese.

Over 20 years of working in varied roles led me to discover new interests and hobbies. Motherhood emphasized the need for a healthy, nature-connected upbringing, as well as the importance of continuing to pursue my dreams and focusing on the things that are most important to me in life. This is how the idea of Coastal Marvels beach activities was born. This community-focused organization aims to inspire the younger generation to discover, enjoy, and protect the precious nature on their doorstep, as well as inviting whole families to regularly join and explore together."

I hope you will join us on one or many of our coastal sessions!

Jonathan, who is almost 9 years old, is my inspiration and the reason behind it all. He loves golf and can't wait for The Open 2024 coming to Troon. He is a young nature explorer and my big helper in discovering.

David, who is already 6, is our occasional helper and a young discoverer of surrounding nature. He brings sunshine into our daily lives and is a great inspiration, equally to his older brother.
